Mary is a certified speech language pathologist and has a passion for working with children with a variety of special needs. Her specific areas of interest include: articulation and overall language development.
During her college career, Mary gained experience working with children in inpatient, clinic and school settings. After graduating, she spent 16 years working in various school settings through out Rowan, Mooresville and Iredell Counties. She also spent 2 of those years contracting with a private practice in Winston Salem, NC. During her time working for private practice she cultivated her clinical expertise by serving children privately within their homes, schools, daycares and preschools. She has extensive knowledge of Individualized Education Plans and serving children in a school setting.
Personal Interests:
Mary grew up in Wilmington, NC and was fortunate enough to move back to the area in 2015 and now lives with her husband in Southport. She is a huge animal lover and volunteers with several local cat rescues. She is a cat mom to 2 cats she adopted from one of the rescues. She also volunteers at her church and serves on the worship team and loves music and singing .She loves the beach, being outside and spending time around the water.
