The use of fiberoptic endoscopy to evaluate swallowing (FEES) is a method for assessing swallowing function and structure of the larynx. The procedure is completed by passing a thin, flexible instrument through your nose. The speech pathologist will be able assess the larynx and surrounding areas while food and liquids are introduced. The scope will be passed by a FEES certified speech pathologist.
