Wendy has over a decade of experience working with children of mild to severe profound disabilities. During those years, she has become proficient with assistive/alternative communication methods such as Boardmaker, PECS, switches, and communication devices. In recent years, she has enjoyed helping students in the area of fluency disorders.
The joy of watching children achieve goals that they have worked so hard on is the highlight of Wendy’s career.
In 2011, Wendy was voted as Assistant of the Year by the local school district. She is also a member of NCSHLA.
In Wendy’s free time she enjoys spending time with her family doing many different activities including jet skiing, going to the beach and watching movies. Wendy is an avid animal lover and has rescued all of her current pets, which includes one dog and two cats.
