Education:
I grew up in Hickory, NC and moved to Wilmington in August 2001 when I attended UNCW for my undergraduate degree; BA in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. I went back home to attend graduate school and graduated with a Masters in Occupational Science from Lenoir Rhyne University.
Strengths in the field:
I have specialized pediatric training in: the SOS Approach to feeding, Sensory Processing Disorder, The ALERT Program, Handwriting Without Tears, Interactive Metronome, Feeding Therapy: A Sensory Motor Approach, and the HOPE method for addressing sensory modulation, self-regulation, sensory-based movement disorders, and reflex integration.
Personal Interests:
I moved back to Wilmington in 2009 with my husband; we have 4 children Kynlee (8), Fisher (5) and twin boys Kaden and Kyler (1 year old). We stay very busy enjoying the beach and anything outdoors.
