About:
Ashley is from Leland, NC. After graduating, she moved to Leesburg, VA to worked as a contract speech language pathologist in an elementary school setting. Ashley loved being with the children in the school, but decided to move back to the Wilmington/Leland area. After moving back home, she worked in the acute care/skilled nursing facility settings in both New Hanover County and Brunswick County. Her areas of specialty include : adult dysphagia treatment, assessing and creating functional maintenance programs for dementia patients, cognitive and speech language habilitation/ rehabilitation programs. Ashley is able to uniquely combine techniques from all settings to best serve the pediatric population depending on their specific needs. Ashley is VitalStim certified and certified in Myofascial Release for dysphagia.
