Strengths in the field:
Amy grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and has extensive experience working with children with special needs and their families to develop a custom therapy program. In addition, she works with acute patients to begin rehabilitation of both communication and swallowing dysfunction. Amy has received education on the retraining of the neuromuscular function of dysphagia patients.
Amy is also a certified therapist for VitalStim®, the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing (LIPS) and a certified SpeechEasy provider.
She has always been known as the therapist who will go the extra mile for anyone.
Personal Interests:
Amy loves to show her 2 hunter/jumper horses and going to sporting games with her two sons.
